Shaq takes on The Big Show on WWE’s Monday Night Raw
Newly aquired Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaquille O’Neal aka The Big Witness was big hit in the first 15 minutes as guest general manager of the World Wrestling Entertainment’s “Monday Night Raw” in Washington, D.C.
On his way to the ring, the personable Shaq, known for his humor, came out, shook hands with the fans and tore up a Kobe Bryant poster. The only boos he drew was when he said “Hey D.C., LeBron James told me to tell you hello.”
Shaq set up five “beat the clock” matches in which the fastest victory recorded between Triple H, MVP, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry and John Cena would face WWE champion Randy Orton at Summer Slam.
When noted WWE heel Chris Jerico came out to confront O’Neal for being overlooked and “disrepected” for not being included in the “beat the clock” matches, Shaq towered over him and “Listen Christina, what are you doing out here?”
When Jerico called out his WWE tag team champion partner The Big Show (Paul White), who is 7-4 and 500 pounds, Shaq called him “Fat Boy” and challenged him to a match.
The Big Show refused the challenge, saying “After I crush you I’d have to crush LeBron James and I don’t want David Stern and the NBA breathing down my back.”
Shaq responded by saying “I figured you and Christina would back down, so I have Crime Time wrestle you for the tag team titles tonight and there’ll be a special enforcer outside the ring. Me!”
Shaq and The Big Show did faceoff, with O’Neal throwing him out of the ring with great flourish.
It was obvious D.C. and WWE fans were perfectly happy with Shaq’s performance.
Shaq actually does practice Martial Arts and is a regular attendee at UFC fights. He does not drink, or do drugs and is a part time policeman. O
