American League MLB Betting Playoff Schedule 2010
Now that the cloud of dust has settled on the regular season, we can focus on the gauntlet that will be the American League MLB playoffs schedule in 2010. The dynamic Tampa Bay Rays will challenge the hard hitting and swift pitching of the Texas Rangers, while the New York Yankees will try to prove they can be successful without home field advantage against the Twins.
All the games in the divisional round of the MLB playoff schedule for 2010 can be seen nationally on TBS, but some of your local stations might also carry it.
Keep in mind the format for all series is a 2-2-1, meaning there will be three home games for the higher seed, and two road games at the home stadium of the lower seeded team. Each series is a best of five.
Now that all the logistics are out of the way, let’s breakdown the MLB playoffs schedule for 2010 in the American League!
#3 Texas Rangers (90-72) vs. #1 Tampa Bay Rays (96-66)
Series Price: Rangers +120 / Rays -150
The Tampa Bay Rays are slotted as -150 favorites against the Texas Rangers. Even though both stalwarts have split their past 10 meetings with an even 5-5 SU record, the Rays hold an advantage this season with a 4-2 SU record in six games against Texas. The Rangers have a tall order to fill against the non-stop relentlessness possessed by the Rays, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have the bats or the pitching to overcome the odds.
MLB Playoff Schedule 2010:
•Wednesday, October 6th @ Tropicana Field – 1:37pm (Lee vs. Price)
•Thursday, October 7th @ Tropicana Field – 2:37pm (Wilson vs. Garza)
•Saturday, October 9th @ Rangers Ballpark – 5:07pm (Davis vs. Lewis)
•Sunday, October 10th @ Rangers Ballpark – TBD (Shields vs. Hunter)
•Tuesday, October 12th @ Tropicana Field – TBD
#4 New York Yankees (95-67) vs. #2 Minnesota Twins (94-68)
Series Price: Yankees -175 / Twins +145
What’s killing the value for the wild card Yankees is the unknown pitching rotation. They still managed to topple the Twins 4-2 SU during the season, and Minnesota will surely miss their batting anchor, Justin Morneau, for the divisional round of the playoffs. It would be a lot easier to bet on the Yankees if we knew what the MLB playoff schedule for their rotation would be. If we know anything about Minnesota, it’s that they can be downright reliable at home.
