2010 NFL Schedule Highlights
As expected, the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints will open the 2010 NFL season in a rematch of the 2009 NFC title game in New Orleans on Thursday, Sept. 9, as the NFL released next season’s schedule on Tuesday night. And of course Bodog has all the NFL futures odds any bettor would need.
And in one of the most anticipated games of next season, former Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (and perhaps Terrell Owens?) will return to Philadelphia for the first time when the Washington Redskins visit Philly on Sunday, Oct. 3, in what no doubt will be a national TV game on Fox. McNabb’s first game as a Redskin will be a national TV game in Dallas on the first Sunday night (Sept. 12) of the season. It’s one of five nationally-televised prime-time games for the Cowboys, who are always the national TV darlings.
Interestingly, the Cowboys and Eagles finish the season against each other for the third straight year. Last year, the Cowboys beat Philly in Dallas to win the NFC East. The year before, Philly crushed visiting Dallas to knock the Cowboys from the playoffs and earn the Eagles a spot. This season, for the first time, all 16 games in Week 17 will feature divisional matchups in an effort to keep teams from sitting starters in the finale.
Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers are widely expected to lose QB Ben Roethlisberger for at least the first three games of next season due to suspension. Pittsburgh faces the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans in the first three weeks
