Value-Packed MLB ‘Lovable Loser’ Ballclubs

0

Okay MLB betting enthusiasts, with another brand new week of MLB betting action on the horizon, it’s time to take a look at Major League Baseball’s hottest ballclubs heading in the 2010 regular season’s 17th week of action.

Two familiar faces in last season’s World Series participants, the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies, along with one season-long surprise ballclub, the San Diego Padres, lead the way on this week’s hottest ballclubs list, which is comprised solely of teams that have won at least four of their last five games respectively.

When it comes to making a winning pick, going against a team that is either a consistent loser or one that is mired in a bad funk, is just as an effective way to cash in as backing a consistent winner and general prohibitive favorite.

This look at baseball’s most struggling ballclubs, all of whom have lost at least four of its last five games, will aid avid MLBB gamblers everywhere in their respective quests to make a plethora of payday-producing picks this coming week.

Colorado 0-5
I’ve got to start with the Rockies, (51-47) the only team in the league to lose each of its last five games. Now, 7.5 games behind first place San Diego in the NL West, the Rockies are in serious trouble. The good news for the Rockies and their backers however, is the fact that they have a three-game series against the lowly Pirates beginning on Tuesday.

Pittsburgh 1-4
Speaking of Pittsburgh, the Pirates (34-64) have consistently been the best NL team to wager against all season long. MLB betting enthusiasts that bet against the Pirates all season long are up +1336 against the MLB moneyline and +1256 against the Run Line.

Baltimore 1-4
The Orioles are baseball’s worst team with a pitiful 31-67 record that includes eight losses in its last 10 games. The O’s don’t have a single regular player batting .300 or a single starter with an ERA under 4.46. Once again however, MLB gamblers that had the good sense to wager against the Orioles all season long are now rolling in dough at +2098 against the Moneyline and a whopping +2309 against the MLB betting Run Line.

Arizona 1-4
One more of baseball’s biggest losers this season also makes this week’s list of lovable losers after dropping each of its last four games to fall to a dismal 37-62 this season. The Diamondbacks rank a respectable 15th in offense but a pitiful 30th in defense with a 5.27 team ERA heading into their three-game set against the streaking Philadelphia Phillies.

Two more teams that have gone 1-4 over the L/5 games are the L.A. Angels and New York Mets.
