Think it’s too late to place an MLB Futures wager?
Well, think again devoted MLB betting enthusiasts!
With approximately one-fourth of the 2010 MLB regular season remaining, avid MLB gamblers still have the opportunity to make what could potentially turn out to be one of the biggest bankroll-boosting bets of the season.
That’s right pro baseball bettors, there is still time to place an MLB Futures bet on the team or teams you like to win this season’s World Series – and the best news is that, the contenders have been largely separated from the pretenders at this point of the season, narrowing the field for avid MLB bettors.
This brief look at the AL’s best ballclubs – and the stunning MLB Futures Odds that accompany each team – will put enthusiastic MLB betting buffs well on their way to making a potentially profitable World Series wager.
New York Yankees +300
The Yankees (58-33) are ranked second in offense (5.30 rpg) and eighth in defense (3.89 team ERA) and have won eight of its last 10 games while going 27-13 in their last 40 games overall. A postseason appearance is starting to look like a certainty for New York.
Tampa Bay Rays +600
A postseason spot may look like a lock for the Yankees, but it could come as a wild card if the Tampa Bay Rays (56-36) have anything to say about it. Currently 2.5 games back of New York in the AL East, Tampa Bay has won seven of its last 10 games overall and is ranked fourth in both offense (5.12 rpg) and defense (3.66 ERA). The Rays clearly are not going away for the second time in three seasons.
Texas Rangers +700
The Texas Rangers (54-39) are, not only looking like a lock to win the AL West, but taking on the appearance of a ballclub that could be tough for anyone to beat in the postseason. The Rangers have won four of its last five games and sits atop the mediocre AL West by five games.
Boston Red Sox +1200
The BoSox (53-40) are on the ropes MLB betting buffs! Currently six games behind New York and 3.5 games behind Tampa Bay in the AL East, Boston is ranked first in offense, averaging a fine 5.31 runs per contest. Unfortunately, the Red Sox are also ranked 21st in pitching with a 4.29 team ERA.
Chicago White Sox +2000
I’ve got to give the White Sox (51-41) a chance here no matter how slim, as I really like the fact that they’ve recorded winning records both at home (27-19) and on the road (24-22) and have shown some serious resiliency despite ranking just 14th in scoring (4.55 rpg) and 12th in defense with a 4.01 team ERA.
